Take These 4 Steps
With Us And Our Community Partners
Sometimes asking for help is one of the most difficult things to do, and we are not here to judge or make you jump through hoops at The Humanitarian Way.
We have created this resource hub with our Community Partners’ help to make this process be as transparent as possible and walk you through the steps to help connect with essential team players. Here are those 4 Steps!
1. Your First Step
You can fill out our Pre-Client Get Help Form to start the process with The Humanitarian Way and our community partners that will begin the intake process as soon as possible.
2. You’ve Made It to the Second Step
- We consult with you and talk about your living conditions and how The Humanitarian Way can help.
- We assess your situation as far as assigning a status of housing insecurities vs. homelessness and how The Humanitarian Way can help.
3. The Third Step Has Its Rewards
We determine your shelter diversion assistance needs (including financial and non-financial) and how The Humanitarian Way can help. Assistance may look like the following:
- Advice and recommendations on how and where to seek assistance
- Bus fare
- Money for a utility bill
- One-time rent payment
- Job interview assistance
- And more!
4. Your Feedback – An Essential Step that Helps Others
- After you receive assistance, we will ask for your feedback on The Humanitarian Way.
- Your feedback will help The Humanitarian Way evaluate the outcomes of your individual or family situation and if additional assistance is needed to eliminate your housing insecurities.
- Feedback from you helps The Humanitarian Way continue its mission of community engagement.
